Major in Electronics
The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) is a four-year degree program that has a total of 1,200 Practicum- On- the- Job Training and skills test hours. This program provides the students with specialized knowledge and skills in Automotive, Electrical and Electronics, together with progressively arranged principles and procedures of shop training to enable students to master the fundamentals and specialized skills of the occupation for which training is desired. Also, this curriculum prepares the student for supervisory and managerial positions in industries.
While BS in Electrical Engineering deals with the general aspect of design and development of electrical equipment, such as power generators and electric motors, BS Electronics and Communication Engineering, on the other hand, focuses on the study of design and development of electronic equipment such as semiconductors and transmitters to be used in distant communications.
Objectives
- To produce graduates equipped with technical and basic business education with an appropriate combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which will enable them to enter into and advance in the profession of information technology, management information systems, and business administration.
- To offer students an academic preparation for careers in electronics, telecommunications, electrical power, computers, and control systems and help them possess the necessary foundation to continue their formal education and obtain advanced degrees in information technology, management information systems, business administration, or other related fields.
- To provide them the knowledge and skills that will enable them to participate in life-long learning and to adapt to an ever-changing, global technological and business environment.
- To offer a well-rounded education that enables students to conduct themselves as responsible professionals and global citizens who are aware of ethical issues and societal needs and problems.
- To produce graduates who will become quality primary contributor to the current globally expanding technological industries and ventures.
