TCU Leads Turnover Ceremony

Taguig City University expressed its appreciation towards the generous efforts of Metro Manila District Jail Annex 5 and Cibo Restaurant as they welcome them to a Turnover Ceremony held at TCU Library Special Collection Section last Friday, 14th May.

The grateful university library greeted the set of guests and attendees which included representative from Metro Manila District Jail spearheaded by SINSP Jayrex Joseph C. Bustanera, TCU Management Support Unit, and Administrative Assistant of the Vice President for Administration, with a well organized section observing minimum health standards and safety protocols mandated by the AITF and Local Government, complete with table markings, signage, and alcohol dispensers. Library staff ensured that participants shall be compliant as well, reminded them to wear facemasks before the program started.

Administrative Officer and Director of Management Support Unit Dr. Rolly E. Mendoza delivered a message of appreciation for Partner Institutions along with a few major milestones the university have accomplished recently, following Chief Librarian Jessica A. Leaño’s warm welcoming message which formally opened the program. Though unable to attend, VPA Dr. Jaime M. Jimenez sent his gratitude to the esteemed guests through his Administrative Assistant Mr. John Anthony B. Calleja, applauding their initiative and charity during these challenging times and looking forward to more collaborative opportunities  with them.

This project of the MMDJ and Cibo Restaurant shared more than 300 print materials to Taguig City University’s collection. The collection is notably composed of trade books of varying courses such as applied and theoretical sciences, hospitality, food and beverages, self helps, etc. The set of materials also includes novels and other forms of fiction, and magazines.

Upon handing over and receiving all donated materials. TCU Representatives led the awarding of certificates to partner institutions followed by a photo opportunity which formally ended the ceremony. More than the shared collection, Taguig City University is ever grateful for the opportunity of a beautiful partnership.
